Mayor Svante Myrick is headed to the Big Apple for an event its organizers call the “largest Young Democrats event” in the United States.

Myrick was selected as one of the top five public servants under 35 by the Manhattan Young Democrats (MYD). The fundraiser — also called “HUGE!” and an “amazing party” by the MYD — will be held on 14th Street in New York City’s Manhattan Wednesday night.

At the event, Myrick will brush shoulders with some of the biggest movers-and-shakers in New York politics: Attorney General Eric Schneiderman; Comptroller Thomas Dinapoli; former Governor David Patterson; and Congressman Charlie Rangel.

Myrick is the only honoree to come from outside NYC. Tickets for the event, called “Young Gets It Done,” are priced starting at $20.
