Ithaca, N.Y. — Well, that was fast.

Temperatures in Ithaca are expected to drop to around 39 degrees tonight and early tomorrow morning, according to the National Weather Service.

The following map details expected temperatures for “Monday Morning Lows.” We were in the 50s most of the last few days.

“Probably the chilliest morning of the upcoming fall season will be upon us Monday morning,” the NWS wrote in a Facebook post.

Some Southern Tier/Central New York counties are already receiving their first “frost advisories,” according to the NWS.

“If you live near one of these areas on the map and have tender plants (tomatoes, impatiens, etc), you will want to cover them up,” the NWS said.

Luckily, the rest of the week should be a bit milder.
