Ithaca, N.Y. — A homeless man was found dead on Chestnut Street in Ithaca on Saturday, according to Ithaca police.

Around 12:28 p.m., police were called to the 100 block of Chestnut Street for a death investigation.

They found a victim — later identified as Travis Vorhis, 23 — lying on the ground. Bangs Ambulance arrived and confirmed that the man was dead.

An autopsy was completed Sunday and investigators “have determined that there does not appear to be any suspicious circumstances regarding this incident,” a press release said.
