Ithaca, N.Y. — Local officials are searching for a dog that bit a boy outside of Gimme! Coffee on Cayuga Street in Ithaca on Monday.
They are hoping to rule out that the dog had rabies and ensure that the boy is OK.
“The Tompkins County Health Department must locate a dog that bit a boy riding a bike,” a statement from health officials said.
The bite occurred around 5:20 p.m. on Monday. Health officials say: “The dog was of medium size with brown fur, and resembled a boxer/pit bull mix. The dog was being walked on a leash by a man and woman.”
