Here’s the updated National Weather Service forecast:
Ithacans traveling east should be very cautious, as the storm is expected to bring strong gusts, rainfall, as well as high amounts of snow to the Northeast (over a foot in some areas).
According to AccuWeather Chief Meteorologist Elliot Abrams, the best time to travel in the Northeast will be Tuesday and Tuesday night, with the next best time to travel on Thanksgiving Day.
Traveling on Wednesday or Wednesday night could be very dangerous, and some areas of the Northeast including New England and New York’s Hudson Valley are expected to get over a foot of snow.
