Dryden, N.Y. — A grocery store in the village of Dryden has been fined for selling cigarettes to minors, according to a report from the Tompkins County Board of Health.

Clark’s Shur Fine, at 33 North Dryden Street, was found to have violated the Adolescent Tobacco Use Prevention Act. Board of Health staff member Steve Kern announced the findings at a meeting last week.
Health officials asked for the business to be penalized with a $450 fee with a $50 mandatory surcharge. The board of health unanimously voted to pass the fine.
Reached for comment Tuesday morning, a representative with Clark’s Shur Fine said the grocery store would not be commenting.
