Dryden, N.Y. — Police arrested a Dryden man on Wednesday and accused him of threatening a woman with a “large knife” and firearm.

David E. Cornell, Jr., 41, was charged with second-degree menacing, a misdemeanor. State police out of the Ithaca barracks were called to a home on Bills Way in Dryden Wednesday night.

Authorities said Cornell threatened the woman during an argument. He was arraigned in Groton Town Court and sent to jail on $1,000 bail.

An order of protection has been issued.
