Ithaca, N.Y. — You could be forgiven for thinking that maybe we’d seen the coldest weather in Ithaca of the season when temperatures dropped into the single digits late last week.

Well, think again. Finger Lakes Weather is reporting that “temperatures Tuesday morning will generally be just above 0 degrees, but with 10-20 mph, it will feel as cold as -15 degrees in some areas.” Ouch.

As for Monday, about two to four inches of snow were expected to fall throughout the region. The snow was predicted to begin shortly after midnight and wind down over the course of the day.

The Tompkins County 911 Dispatch Center said Monday around 9:30 a.m. that it has had no serious accidents, “just a lot of cars off the roadway.”

On the bright side, it’s a chipper 31 degrees out there. Basically time to suntan!
