Here’s the police account of the incident:
A woman walking on the 200 block of William Street was approached by the male just south of Eddy Gate.
The man said something then pushed the woman against a nearby wall. He tried kissing her, which she avoided, and then put his hand down the front waistband of her pants.
The woman yelled before slapping and pushing the male away. She was able to rejoin a friend later.
Here’s the description of the suspect: “The male perpetrator was described as a white male, college-aged, 5 foot 9 inches to 5 foot 10 inches, medium build, medium length shaggy blond hair, no facial hair.”
“He was wearing no jacket, a blue and white striped button-down long sleeved shirt and khaki pants. She believed the male perpetrator to be very intoxicated.”
The investigation is continuing. Anyone with information should contact the Cornell Police at 607-255-1111.
