The DPW posted on Facebook at around 9 a.m. that the busy intersection where Route 366/Dryden Road leads into Ithaca would be closed until the break is repaired. There was no estimate for when that might be.

Here’s the DPW’s message, in its original all-caps glory:

BETWEEN THE “5 CORNERS” INTERSECTION OF MAPLE, CORNELL, ITHACA, DRYDEN, & OAK. AND PINE TREE RD. WILL BE CLOSED UNTIL THE BREAK IS REPAIRED. LOCAL ACCESS ONLY VIA PINE TREE RD. PLEASE USE ALTERNATE ROUTES FOR MAPLE AVE. ACCESS.
