There is no believed threat to students or students’ safety. Police are investigating.

The lock-out came in response to what appears to be a “senior hoax,” the statement said. The hoax included “a statement that could be interpreted as a threat,” the statement said.

“The District instituted a Lock-Out as a precaution and has requested the assistance of the Trumansburg Police Department to investigate,” the statement said. ”

“At this point, we do not believe there is a threat and no students’ health, safety or welfare is or has been in jeopardy.”
