St. Patrick’s Irish Weekend March 14 & 15

On March 14 & 15 from 9:30 am to 6:00 pm, celebrate the luck of the Irish! Enjoy fine wines paired with complimentary Irish fare such as Irish stew, potato leek soup and scones. Toast the day with green wine and sample jellies, preserves, salsas, hot sauces, butters and mustards. $4 to sample six wines; Irish fare is complimentary.

The Environs Messiaen Festival at Cornell University March 5th- 9th

In Cornell’s 150th year, the complete performance of Messiaen’s Catalogue d’oiseaux at the Sapsucker Woods Observation Lounge celebrates a common page in the history of the Department of Music and the Lab of Ornithology. The Catalogue d’oiseaux is a near-encyclopedic cycle of works for solo piano that features meticulously transcribed birdsongs from all across France.


“A Body of Water” at the Kitchen Theatre, daily March 4th-8th

A middle-aged couple awakens every morning in a beautiful house surrounded by water, not knowing who or where they are. When a young woman arrives, her explanations only add to the uncertainty. A mystery about family and memory.


Robert Cray Band with Digger Jones March 13

Robert Cray is widely recognized as one of the greatest guitarists of our time. The New Yorker recently called him “one of the most reliable pleasures of soul and blues for over three decades now.“ He has written or performed with everyone from Eric Clapton to Stevie Ray Vaughan, from Bonnie Raitt to John Lee Hooker, and in 2011, he was inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame.

Golden Dragon Acrobats Present: Cirque Ziva at the State Theatre March 7

Danny Chang and his Golden Dragon Acrobats continue their relentless, 30+ year US touring schedule of centuries-old Chinese art form. Since 1985, they remain the only Chinese acrobatic company touring year-round in the United States, and present over 200 performances annually. In 2005, their Broadway debut and seven-week run at the New Victory Theater earned two prestigious New York Drama Desk Awards nominations (Angela Chang for Best Choreography and Danny Chang for Most Unique Theatrical Experience).


Joni Mitchell Tribute Concert at the Community School of Music and Arts (CSMA) March 7

The Sixth Annual Joni Mitchell Tribute Night will return to the Community School of Music and Arts (CSMA) Saturday, March 7, and as always it promises to respectfully pay tribute to North America’s iconic singer and songwriter.
