Ithaca, N.Y. — Chance the Rapper has been announced as the headliner for Cornell’s Slope Day 2015, according to the Slope Day Programming Board.

The Illinois-native is best known for his mix tape “Acid Rap,” which was hailed widely as an instant classic in the genre.

“Acid Rap was met with universal acclaim from music critics. At Metacritic, the mixtape received an average score of 86, based on 21 critics, which indicates “universal acclaim”.[2]

It was also nominated for Best Mixtape at the 2013 BET Hip Hop Awards.[13] The mixtape was ranked at number 2 on SPIN Magazine’s list[14] and number 26 on Rolling Stone‘s list of the 50 best albums of 2013″

Tickets will go on sale April 22. The concert will be held May 7.
