Founded in Dryden in 1996 by Jody Earle as a way to celebrate the Dryden Centennial and provide a summer music opportunity for students, the Dryden Area Intergenerational Band & Chorus now includes participants from all over Tompkins county, with about 11% living in Ithaca.

The 21st Century Library Campaign — Tompkins County Public Library
This group is unique because it is open to anyone regardless of age, there are no auditions, and participation is free. The only requirements are that participants must be able to read and play music, and participate in a two-hour rehearsal one day a week. We rehearse only six times during late June and July, then perform two concerts in August.
This year, in celebration of our 20 anniversary, we’ve commissioned Sally Lamb McCune (http://www.sallylambmccune.com/) to compose a piece that will be premiered by the band and chorus together.
