A hazardous weather outlook has been issued for Tompkins County, along with other counties in Central New York, the National Weather Service reports.

Isolated severe thunderstorms, damaging winds, heavy rainfall and large hail are all predicted for the county throughout the evening.

The rain is expected to start again around 6 p.m. and there’s an 85 percent chance of thunderstorms by 8 p.m., according to The Weather Channel website. 

Thunderstorms and showers are forecasted to continue intermittently until about 7 a.m. Tuesday.
