Gary “Jake” Macrabie, 46, of Newfield, was critically injured in the crash and died after he was taken off life support almost a week later, reports say.

Snyder’s mother Lavonne Willumson started a Gofundme page for her daughter’s funeral late Monday night. Willumson said Macrabie was her daughter’s fiance.

She described Snyder as an animal lover who rescued animals and had five cats and two dogs.

She said Snyder told her she wanted to buried when she died. Willumson wants to honor her daughter’s request and is trying to raise $6,000 for funeral expenses.

“I’m not looking for a king and queen funeral, just want to bury my little girl the way she wanted to be,” Willumson wrote on the page.

Here’s how the accident happened, according to the Tompkin’s County Sheriff’s Office:

At around 3:50 p.m., police were called to the four-vehicle accident.

They learned that Snyder’s Ford Focus was going south on Elmira Road in the outermost righthand lane when she crossed into the center lane and hit a 2015 Toyota that was also going south.

The driver of the Toyota was uninjured. Police say Snyder’s Ford continued into the northbound lane, where it sideswiped a 2013 Chevrolet pickup truck traveling north. The driver of the pickup truck was also not injured in the crash.

However, Snyder’s vehicle continued traveling south on Elmira Road in the northbound lane, where it collided head-on with Sharon Darlow’s vehicle.

Darlow is still in critical condition as of Tuesday morning, according to staff at Robert Packer Hospital in Pennsylvania.

The cause of the accident is still being investigated, Lt. Daniel Donahue, of the Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office, said Tuesday morning.
