Ithaca, N.Y. — Mike Blaney is the Executive Director for The Ithaca Voice. In addition to overseeing the daily operation of the organization, he launches sponsorship and fundraising initiatives to expand The Ithaca Voice’s ability to provide rigorous journalism as a free service to the community.
Background: Mike, originally from Albany, moved to Ithaca to pursue a BFA in Film, Photography & Visual Arts at Ithaca College. His short films have been shown in film festivals in the US and abroad. In 2012, his film A Sushi Love Story was chosen for the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) Young Directors Showcase.
Blaney has called Ithaca home since graduating, and will talk your ear off about how great this place is if you give him the chance.
