1— Press Cafe in Press Bay Alley
At 12:15 PM, there will be a ribbon cutting ceremony for Press Café in Press Bay Alley (118 W. Green St., Suite 1).
“Our minimalist café with glass overhead doors is sun-drenched and welcoming for a quick pick-me-up. We offer espresso drinks, brewed coffees, and beautiful herbal teas blended by our neighbors at Bramble, along with local baked goods,” proprietor Chris Cowan says in a news release.
“As longtime Ithaca residents, we wanted to create a place where our community could experience something different. Downtown Ithaca is growing and we are proud to be the new spot in this ever-evolving city we call home.”

“Moonlight Dancer Studio offers classes in Turkish and Egyptian styles of Oriental dance. Oriental dance, or Belly Dance as it’s known in this country, is for everyone – all ages, shapes, and sizes,” says proprietor June Seaney.
“It is a beautiful dance, a good workout and stress-reliever, and a lot of fun! We are excited to be in the middle of the downtown shopping district and be a part of all the events here.”

3 — The CommonSpot
At 12:45 PM, there will be a ribbon cutting ceremony for The CommonSpot above Petrune (126¾ The Commons). Says proprietor Bob Rossi, “The CommonSpot is a coworking space for small businesses and non-profits designed to have a positive impact on our community and our natural environment.”
“We also offer three rooms for rent to members and non-members for meetings and events. The CommonSpot was designed – and named – to be on the Commons. Downtown is increasingly the place to go to start a new business, organization, or movement, and we believe the new Commons will be the heart of it all.”
