The Tompkins County 911 Dispatch Center reports that emergency responders were called to the scene of a 2-vehicle accident around 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

The accident occurred in the area of the Hampton Inn and Wendy’s on Route 96, according to dispatchers.

Dispatchers said that initial reports indicate that three people were hospitalized after the crash. The extent of their injuries was not yet clear.

Ithaca firefighters, Ithaca police and Bangs Ambulance were among the agencies called to the scene.
