ITHACA, N.Y, – Taitem Engineering of Ithaca is the winner of a “CNY Best Places to Work 2015” award, presented by the CNY Business Journal on May 28 in Syracuse.

Ranking third of 12 finalists in the 50 employees and fewer category, Taitem was recognized for high employee satisfaction, citing Taitem’s working conditions as well as its mission and culture.

Taitem’s focus is engineering design, energy efficiency, green building, and renewable energy, including solar PV installation, with projects across New York State.

The contest’s Employee Engagement & Satisfaction Survey, conducted by independent research firm RMS, reported that Taitem’s 48 employees gave highest marks to the firm for connection, direction, and execution.

The words used most often by staff members completing the survey were “caring,” “quality,” “values,” and “sustainable.”

The staff of Taitem enjoy such benefits as flextime, exercise programs, professional development, community engagement, company retreats and social events, and excellent health insurance.
