Update — Two people were injured in a Route 13 crash in Dryden Friday afternoon, police said.

Tompkins County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a crash at 2:09 p.m. near the intersection of Lower Creek Road and State Route 13.

Police said a motorist on Lower Creek Road did not yield right, causing an accident with another vehicle on Route 13.

One driver was airlifted to Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse with suspected internal injuries. The other driver was taken to Cayuga Medical Center by ambulance with minor injuries.

Police said they are still investigating the crash.

Update at 5:11 p.m. — Route 13 is open again according to the Tompkins County Department of Emergency response.

At 2:09 p.m., the Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office, Bangs Ambulance and Varna Fire Department were called to a crash on Route 13 near Lower Creek Road.

Officials said Route 13 between Route 366 and Hanshaw Road will be closed for about two hours. They’re urging motorists to find alternate routes.
