ITHACA, N.Y. — Later today, I’ll be speaking with new Cornell President Elizabeth Garrett, who took office this fall.

Garrett, who replaces President David Skorton, is now at the helm of one of the world’s largest research institutions — one whose fate is obviously inextricably intertwined with that of our city.

With that in mind: What questions would you like me to ask Garrett? Time is constrained — it’s my understanding that there will be several other local media institutions interviewing Garrett today — but I want to solicit feedback from the IV readers to see if there’s anything crucial I should ask.

Submit questions on our Facebook page, or email me at jstein@ithacavoice.com. You can also call me at 917-887-2891 — but don’t do it at 3 p.m., because that’s when I’ll be in the interview, and I don’t want to leave a bad first impression.

Thanks for your help! (And, don’t worry: Yes I have my own questions prepared.)
