ITHACA, NEW YORK — Planned Parenthood’s Board of Directors accepted the resignation of Joe Sammons from the position of President/CEO of Planned Parenthood of the Southern Finger Lakes as of October 31st, 2015. Joe has accepted a position as Executive Director of Challenge Workforce Solutions.

The Board and staff of Planned Parenthood wish Joe the very best in his new endeavors and as longtime community partners, we wish Challenge the very best as they continue to offer important services and support for our community.

The Board of Directors is proud to appoint Angela Riddell as the Interim CEO. Angela has served as Planned Parenthood’s Vice President for Finance and Operations since October 2011 and brings almost 20 years of experience in accounting and finance to her role. Her commitment to Planned Parenthood’s mission will help provide a seamless leadership transition as the agency will begin a formal search for a new president/CEO in early 2016.

“This in an important moment for Planned Parenthood as we are building services and programs to meet the growing needs of our patients and communities,” says Riddell.
