ITHACA, N.Y. — The work of local photographer Joseph Scaglione has a way of reminding you of that Ella Fitzgerald song that goes: “Summertime, and the living’s easy.”

Scaglione has been chronicling the pristine colors of summer at Photography 4D and is allowing us to republish his photographs on the Ithaca Voice; more of his work can be seen here, here or here.
I’ve also added some of his captions above each photo:
July 28: “Traveling along Hopkins Road in the Town of Ithaca reveals another beautiful farm sunset on West Hill…”

July 25: “Fall Creek making its way to beautiful Cayuga Lake in early morning sunlight”
July 22: “All I can think of is that song by the Beatles….”

July 23: “Fire in the Sky complete with rays – This evening 7/23 at Allen H Treman State Marine Park – Ithaca”

August 2 in Groton:

July 21: “These are photos taken last evening – construction of a new Woodhouse Timber Frame home near Trumansburg, NY. These homes are amazing! See more here: http://www.timberframe1.com/“
“March 16: Evening walk in the gorge of Robert Treman State Park – Enfield, NY”
