ITHACA, N.Y. — Ithaca police are seeking a man in connection with reported gunfire and a reported argument on Chestnut Street on Wednesday afternoon.

Christian Little-Paz is wanted as a “person of interest” in connection with the incident, according to the Ithaca police.

At around 5:30 p.m., Ithaca police officers were called to the West Village for a report of shots fired within the apartment complex.

A search of the scene yielded no suspects or victims, but witnesses in the area reported that two white males had been in a verbal argument. Witnesses said that during the argument, one male displayed a “sawed-off shotgun and pointed it at the other male,” according to an Ithaca police news release.

“When both males were verbally confronted by witnesses, the subjects ran off in separate directions,” the news release said.

Ithaca police searched the area, with at least one person drawing his weapon.

Police urge anyone with knowledge of the incident to call them at 607-272-3245.
