ENFIELD, N.Y. — Police have identified the man killed in a fatal crash in Tompkins County on Tuesday.
Kent M. Kramer, 47, of Elmira, was driving east on Mecklenburg Road at 10:43 a.m. yesterday when he was hit by a vehicle going south on Waterburg Road.
Kramer was taken by Bangs Ambulance to the Cayuga Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the other vehicle was taken to CMC for injuries that are not considered life-threatening.
The investigation into the motor vehicle accident is continuing, according to a news release from the Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office.
The New York State Police Accident Reconstruction Unit responded to the scene, as did Bangs Ambulance, the Enfield Volunteer Fire Department, Mecklenburg Volunteer Fire Department, and the Schuyler County Sheriff’s Office.

The driver of a vehicle headed south on Waterburg Road was killed after colliding with a vehicle headed east on Mecklenburg Road, according to a news release by the Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office.
Officials responded to a two-vehicle accident at 10:43 a.m. where one vehicle slammed into a utility pole at the intersection of Rt. 79 and Waterburg Road, said Sgt. Shawn Lansing, of the Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office.
