In its 14 years, Prime Time Funk has played the Lionel Hampton Jazz Club in Paris as well as the Rochester International Jazz Festival, and has shared the stage with some of the world’s most respected funk, R&B, blues and jazz acts: Earth, Wind & Fire; Medeski, Martin & Wood; The Brothers Johnson; Tom Scott; Terrence Blanchard; The Temptations; Average White Band; Stanley Clarke; Lenny White; Larry Carlton; John Scofield; Sherman Roberston; and Francine Reed.

Between clubs, colleges, and corporate dates, and from festivals and fundraisers to private celebrations, this premier ten-piece powerhouse is more in demand than ever. Audiences eat up the chemistry on stage, dance like there’s no one watching, and appreciate that they’re hearing extraordinary musicians who truly live up to the name Prime Time Funk.

As a provider of audio solutions to the North East region for 20 years, Sound on Sound Productions has developed and maintained solid relationships with area universities, local and regional acts, as well as national recording artists.
Prime Time Funk and Sound on Sound Productions will provide an assembly for the entire Middle School student body at 1:30p.m., an after school workshop/clinic at 2:25 p.m., followed by a 7:00 p.m. performance that will be FREE and open to the public. The Guest Artist Series programs have been sponsored in the past by Dryden Music Boosters, BOCES Arts in Education grants, the Community Arts Partnership, the Dryden Youth Opportunity Fund, SERTOMA, Seneca Tompkins Music Educators Association, Hilton Garden Inn – Ithaca, Tompkins Weekly, as well as generous private donors.  More information on the series can be found at:
