ITHACA, N.Y. — Two female Cornell University students woke up Thursday morning to find a man standing at the foot of their beds, police said.

The incident happened at 5:15 a.m. Thursday at the Young Israel House at 106 West Ave., the Cornell University Police Department said in a news release.

The release states, “…An unknown male entered two female victims’ rooms and stood at the foot of their beds until they awakened. One victim sat up and confronted the trespasser who stated, “Sorry,” then fled the room.”

The news release describes the trespasser as being a white male, about 5-feet-7 inches tall and weighing around 150 pounds. He has short light colored hair and a clean shaven face. He’s believed to possibly be in his early 20s and was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with “Cornell” written across the front.

Police said no items were stolen or disturbed in the rooms.

The Ithaca Police Department is investigating the case. Officials are asking anyone with information related to the incidents to call IPD at 607-272-9973 or the Cornell University Police Department at 607-255-1111.
