The National Weather Service is reporting that the chance for snow will last until Sunday night. There was a 20 percent chance for snow Saturday morning and will be a 30 percent chance of snow in the evening with new snow accumulation of less than half an inch.
The Accuweather website says that Saturday’s expected high of 43 degrees is more than 10 degrees normal for this time of year. The high temperature is usually around 58 degrees. The predicted low temperature of about 26 degrees is also just over 10 degrees below normal.
The Weather Channel is not forecasting snow in Ithaca Saturday, but reporting that up to a 40 percent chance of snow possible early Sunday morning.
After Sunday, Ithaca is reportedly in the clear to not see snowflakes all week with temperatures expected to be as high as the lower 60s mid-week, reports say.
