OWEGO, N.Y. — A Tioga County recycling employee was killed Monday after a crash that happened in the town of Owego, police said.

Officials were called around 11:30 a.m. to 3550 Pennsylvania Ave. after a Taylor’s Recycling truck was struck by a southbound vehicle, the Tioga County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.
Police said a Taylor’s employee was pronounced dead at the scene by Tioga County Coroner Bob Williams.
The driver of the southbound vehicle was transported to Wilson Hospital with unknown injuries.
The names of those involved in the crash are not beig released yet because the incident is still under investigation, police said.
