ITHACA, N.Y. — After days of rainfall in Ithaca, the National Weather Service is saying the showers could continue into Saturday morning, and is reporting that there’s a chance for snow Saturday night.

The showers will likely continue throughout Thursday with up to a 40 percent chance for showers on Friday. High winds will be more than 30 mph, the weather service says.
The rain is expected to linger into Saturday morning.
With lows around 31 degrees Saturday night, a 20 percent chance for snow showers is expected to last until around 1 a.m., the weather service says.

The Weather Channel says sprinkles could start by 6 a.m. Tuesday with a 35 percent chance of showers starting by 8 a.m.
The rain is expected to last throughout Thursday, according to the National Weather Service.
Syracuse.com is reporting that the showers are due to two storm systems moving through the area. The storms Tuesday are from a a system moving onto the east coast from across the Atlantic.
According to Fingerlakes Weather, the second storm system will likely hit New York Wednesday evening as it moves northeast from the Mississippi Valley into northern Canada.
The storm is supposed to last throughout Thursday and linger into Friday morning, the website says.
