ITHACA, N.Y. — What in-depth story about Ithaca and/or Tompkins County do you most want written?

The Ithaca Voice launched “Spotlight on Ithaca” this month to fund in-depth reporting about our community.

Here’s how it works:

Nominate | Right now, we’re soliciting ideas for a 5-part story series we will be writing and publishing as part of “Spotlight on Ithaca.”

Examples of potential topics could include: Pollution at the Ithaca Gun Factory; the fate of the Cayuga Power Plant; or the fight over teacher salaries at ICSD.

Do you have story series ideas? If so, send suggestions to jstein@ithacavoice.com or post them on our Facebook page.

— Donate to vote |  After we collect story series nominations, we’ll pick what we consider the 5 best.

Then, we’ll be sending these 5 story ideas to all readers who donated to “Spotlight on Ithaca.” Whichever of these 5 topics receives the most votes is the story series we will write.

Haven’t donated? It’s not too late! All we’re asking for is at least $5 to participate before Monday.
