ITHACA, NY – A man was arraigned Tuesday on manslaughter charges stemming from a fatal Groton crash in August.

Naeem Clark, 19, is accused of driving a vehicle early on Aug. 16 that left the roadway and rolled over several times on Cortland/McLean Road. He is charged with felony second-degree manslaughter and felony second-degree vehicular manslaughter in the death of Brianna D. Copes, 18, of McGraw, who was ejected from the backseat of the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.

Clark was also charged with driving while ability is impaired by drugs.
Clark was arraigned in front of judge John C. Rowley and was released on supervision. He must check in with the court twice a week, according to the Tompkins County Clerk’s Office. His driver’s license was also suspended.
