ITHACA, NY – The victim of a fatal crash in the town of Ulysses on Wednesday has been identified.

According to the Tompkins County Sheriff’s office, the woman was identified as Donna M. Abbott, age 77, of Franklinville, New York.

The Tompkins County Sheriff Office’s has identified the victim of the fatal motor vehicle accident that occurred at the intersection of Trumansburg Road and Perry City Road in the Town of Ulysses on Tuesday December 22, 2015 at 1:45 PM. Donna M. Abbott age 77 of Franklinville, New York was traveling east on Perry City Road when she pulled out in front of a commercial vehicle owned by Casella Waste Management that was traveling south on Trumansburg Road. Abbott was pronounced dead at the scene. The operator of the Casella Waste Management vehicle was not injured. The investigation into the motor vehicle accident is continued by the Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office. The New York State Police, New York State Police Accident Reconstruction Unit, Bangs Ambulance and the Trumansburg Volunteer Fire Department assisted at the scene.
