LANSING, N.Y. – State police arrested a Dryden man Tuesday following a reported domestic dispute at his family’s home.

Anthony P. Damato, 34, was charged with misdemeanors of endangering the welfare of a child, menacing, criminal mischief, harassment and unlawful growing of cannabis.

Troopers say they were made aware of a dispute that occurred at a home in Dryden and continued when those involved drove to a doctor’s appointment in Lansing.

An investigation determined that during a physical dispute with a woman, Damato refused to let her call 911 for help, police said.

A child was present during the dispute, according to police. Troopers also discovered that Damato was growing cannabis in his home and was driving with a suspended license.

Damato was arraigned in Lansing Town Court and remanded to Tompkins County Jail on $1,000 cash bail or $2,000 property bond.

He was scheduled to appear in Dryden Town Court Wednesday.
