Update at 4:50 p.m. — Ithaca police have released two photos from surveillance video of the Thursday night robbery being investigated. The photos have been added to this story.

ITHACA, N.Y. — Ithaca police are looking for a man they say robbed a gas station at knifepoint on Thursday night.

Police say the robbery happened around 9:10 p.m. at the Tops Express Gas Station in the 700 block of South Meadow Street. No injuries were reported.

A clerk told officers that a man walked into the gas station with black pantyhose pulled over his face, put a garbage bag on the counter and demanded that the clerk put all the money from the register in the bag. The man also displayed  a knife to the clerk.

After the bag was filled with money, the robber fled the scene on foot and the clerk enabled a panic alarm. Officers arrived at the scene but were unable to find the suspect.

The light skinned male was described as being in his 20s and was wearing a green coat with black pantyhose pulled over his face and white gloves on his hands.
