LANSING, N.Y. — A man is facing multiple charges after police say he was found driving while intoxicated in Lansing and had drugs in his possession.

Officials said an officer pulled over a Dodge sedan at 9:28 p.m. on March 15 on Route 13 at Sapsucker Woods Road in the town of Lansing. The driver was allegedly speeding and failed to stay in the correct lane.
Daniel J. Umholtz, 28, of Dryden, was operating the vehicle and officials say an investigation reveled that he was intoxicated. He was taken into custody and then police say they found marijuana and hydrocodone in his vehicle.

Umholtz was charged with misdemeanors for driving while intoxicated and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, He’s charged with violations for unlawful possession of marijuana, speed in state zone, failure to keep right, moving from lane unsafely and failure to use signal lights.

He was arraigned at the town of Ithaca Court, released andscheduled to appear in the town of Lansing Court at 9 a.m. April 5.
