On Monday May 2nd, 2016 at approximately 5:15am, the Ithaca SWAT team, Ithaca Police Investigative Division, Tompkins County Sheriff’s Department and the NYSP Community Narcotics Enforcement Team (CNET), secured a residence at 631 Poole Circle in the Town of Newfield, for the purpose of serving a narcotics search warrant.
The search warrant was the result of an investigation by the Tompkins County Drug Task Force into cocaine trafficking in Tompkins County. Approximately 11.5 grams of crack cocaine (street value $1,100), small amount of marihuana, $1700 cash, and a scale were seized.
Deshawn Bryant was charged by the Ithaca Police Special Investigative Unit in Newfield Town Court. The Honorable Judge Chernish arraigned Bryant for above charge and remanded Bryant to Tompkins County Jail on $7,500 cash, $15,000 Bond.
Update: As of 3:45 p.m., a jail official said Bryant was no longer in custody.
