DANBY, N.Y. — An Ithaca man is facing charges after New York State Troopers say they found him unresponsive in his vehicle with a small amount of heroin.

Troopers said the incident happened at 10:48 p.m. Saturday on West King Road in the town of Danby.
In a new release troopers said they were called to the scene after receiving reports of a vehicle stopped in the roadway. When they arrived, Miles E. Milton, 20, was unresponsive in the driver’s seat.
Officers said an investigation deemed that Milton was impaired by drugs, and he was found with less than a gram of heroin in his possession. He was taken to Cayuga Medical Center where he consented to a chemical blood test. The lab results are pending.
Milton is facing misdemeanor charges for operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs and seventh- degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. He;s scheduled to appear in the town of Danby court June 2.
