ITHACA, NY — As part of Wizarding Weekend on Saturday, two members of Cornell’s Ring of Steel clashed in a game of wizard’s chess. The human chess pieces, some of them also members of the theatrical sword-fighting group, engaged in combat whenever a piece was taken.

What started out as a fair match suddenly took a dark turn, as one of the players used the unforgivable Imperius curse to turn a chess piece against his rival. After an intense sword fight, order was restored to the glee of onlookers.
