ITHACA, N.Y. — A parade of people turned out in Ithaca Sunday to honor those who have served in the military.

The annual Veterans Day Parade took place through downtown Ithaca and included marching bands, decked out cars and local emergency personnel, before ending at the VFW on West State Street.

A ceremony on behalf of those who have served is happening at 11 a.m. Friday at Dewitt Park, located near the intersection of North Cayuga and West Buffalo streets in Ithaca.
