ITHACA, NY – This Sunday, November 6, Cayuga Lake Books will hold its first book launch for From the Finger Lakes: A Poetry Anthology. This companion volume to last year’s A Prose Anthology was just published and gathers 105 poets with Finger Lake connections in a handsome collection.
About twelve poets will read their poems from the book, copies will be on display and sale, the writers will immortalize your copy with their autographs, and there will be time to socialize and enjoy refreshments. The Sunday event is from 2 to 4 p.m. at Buffalo Street Books in the DeWitt Mall.
The second launch is scheduled for Saturday, November 19 from 2 to 4 p.m. in Tompkins County Free Library’s Borg Warner Community Room– same scene: a second shift of poets will read and there will be time for talk, book buying, and refreshments.
When we started planning for this volume, we had no idea that the response would be so enthusiastic and the poetry of such quality. Our area is not just lakes, gorges, and natural beauty. As these two anthologies — 44 prose writers and 105 poets bear witness — we represent a cornucopia of world-class culture. Come and enjoy a taste of it.
With my fellow editors, I kook forward to greeting you, your families, partners, guests.
