ITHACA, N.Y. — North Meadow Street will be narrowed from three lanes to one on the northbound side Wednesday for work at the Buffalo Street wastewater pumping station.
Work is expected to last from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday. North Meadow Street (northbound on Route 13) will be narrowed to one lane beginning at the intersection of West Seneca Street and ending about 150 feet north of the intersection of West Buffalo Street.
Traffic delays are expected along Meadow Street from the intersection of Elmira Road north to the intersection of West Court Street. The right turn lane for traffic westbound on West Buffalo Street turning right onto North Meadow Street will be closed. No right turns from West Buffalo Street onto North Meadow Street will be possible during the work.
For westbound traffic on West Buffalo Street that needs to turn right onto North Meadow Street, city officials recommend turning right onto either North Cayuga, North Albany or North Plain streets, go one block north, then turn left on West Court Street and take West Court Street to North Meadow Street.
The work is taking place because the city needs to replace a failed level sensor and check pumps.
