NEWFIELD, N.Y. — A woman charged in connection with a Newfield homicide last week is accused of purchasing items for three people who used the items while committing the fatal robbery, police said.

Melissa J. Minnick, 39, of Ithaca, is charged with felony fourth-degree conspiracy. She was taken into custody and charged on Monday night. She is being held at the Tompkins County Jail in lieu of $15,000 cash bail and $30,000 bond, as of Tuesday afternoon.

Police said Camden Rundell was killed at his Newfield home Friday morning. Three people —  Roy L. Clements Jr., of Ithaca, Colleen E. McColgin, of Dryden, and Jamie N. Gerhart, of Ithaca, are charged with second-degree murder in connection with Rundell’s death.

Court documents state that Minnick knew about the robbery beforehand and bought ski masks, canned dog food and Unisom SleepMelts tablets to assist the three suspects with the alleged crime. The felony complaint against Minnick goes on to state that she made “oral admissions” to police.

As of Tuesday morning, no other new information about the crime has been released by police.
