ENFIELD, N.Y. — Police have released additional details about an Enfield “physical altercation” where an official said one person was stabbed and another was “seriously” beaten.
The fight happened around 5:4o p.m. Friday at a home at 1774 Mecklenburg Road where police said two men got into a “physical altercation.”
Sgt. Michael Soroka, of the New York State Police, said Darryl Brown, 49, was stabbed at the home during the incident. Officials found him at a home on the 1800 block of Mecklenburg Road shortly after arriving at the scene of the alleged crime, and he was also transported to a hospital.
Brown has been charged with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon for illegally having a handgun.
The other man involved was taken to a hospital, where he spent days being treated for his injuries. He has since been released from the hospital. Soroka said officials are not currently releasing the man’s name.
No arrests have been made in regard to the beating or stabbing.
Saroka said the case is still an open investigation.
