ITHACA, N.Y. — If you didn’t enjoy the sunny weather the past few days, you missed your chance!
A freezing rain advisory has been issued for Tompkins County from midnight to 10 a.m. Tuesday.
The National Weather Service says the freezing rain will likely sweep through the entire region, primarily between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m.
As temperatures raise above freezing in the latter morning, the rain is expected to continue. But patches of ice are expected on roadways and sidewalks.
The weather forecasts that the rain will continue throughout Tuesday and into Wednesday afternoon.
Temperatures during that time frame are expected to stay in the mid-30s to low 40s.
