ITHACA, N.Y. — With winter weather on the way, the Downtown Ithaca Alliance has postponed its event Day Out In Downtown.

The event was geared toward older adults and set to take place from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday. However, the National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for Central New York which will be in effect until 1 p.m. Tuesday.

Ithaca may see six to eight inches of snow in the storm as well as 35 mph wind gusts. The NWS predicts heavy, wet snow and freezing rain at times.
