ITHACA, N.Y. — Trevor Noah, the host of Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show” will visit Ithaca in April to perform his stand-up comedy show at Ithaca College.

Noah took over “The Daily Show” in September 2015, after Jon Stewart retired. Noah was born in Johannesburg, South Africa, and moved to the United States in 2011. When Noah was a child, his parents were in an illegal interracial marriage since his mother was Xhosa and his father was Swiss-German. Noah reflects on his childhood in his recent memoir,  “Born a Crime: Stories From a South African Childhood.”

Noah’s show at Ithaca College will take place at 7 p.m. April 8 in the Athletics & Events Center.

Tickets will go on sale for members of the Ithaca College community first on Feb. 15 for $20. The general public can purchase tickets for $30 on Feb. 17. The college said it will post more information about ticket sales soon.

All seats are reserved, and a large screen will be set up to ensure that all audience members have a view of the stage.
