FREEVILLE, N.Y. — Freeville firefighters responded to an early Sunday morning fire that scorched through an unoccupied home.

The fire happened just before 3 a.m.Sunday on Bone Plain Road in Freeville.

An official said nobody was living in the home when the fire broke out and no injuries were reported at the scene.

Freeville firefighters were assisted by the Dryden Fire Department, Etna Fire Department, McLean Fire Department, Groton Fire Department and a FAST team from the Cortlandville Fire Department.
