VAN ETTEN, N.Y. — Police have identified a Van Etten pedestrian who was killed Sunday night after being struck by a vehicle.

Terri A. Gallow, 60, died after being hit by a northbound vehicle around 6:30 p.m. at the intersection of State Route 224 and Langdon Hill Road. Police said Glenn E. Doty, 58, of Erin, was driving the vehicle the struck Gallow and stayed at the scene to talk to officers when they arrived.

The Chemung County Sheriff’s Office of Criminal Investigation Division and Accident Reconstruction Team are conducting the ongoing investigation. The sheriff’s office was assisted by the Van Etten Fire Department, Greater Valley EMS, and the Chemung County Medical Examiner’s Office.
